Cultural Dos and Taboos
1. A handshake is the customary form of greeting.
2. Swimsuits should only be worn at the beach or pool.
3. Topless bathing is illegal.
4. The dress is casual.
5. Note that Seychelles is a culturally diverse country with many inhabitants being of mixed French, African. Arab, Chinese and Indian ancestry. The culture, languages and religions of this mixed heritage should be respected and treated with sensitivity.
